Experience the best of indoor and outdoor living at Eustis. Cozy homes, views of the lake, and a thriving downtown will give you everything you need to settle into a new routine. Here you’ll find all the amenities of a city but none of the hustle and bustle that comes with living in one.

The city has retained its small-town feel despite having experienced remarkable growth over the last several years. Anyone who goes for a stroll along its tree-lined streets will immediately be captivated by its unique charm and unassuming air.

Named for Lake Eustis, the city is surrounded by the communities of Tavares, Mount Dora, and Dona Vista. The population rests at around 18,000.

Eustis FL Real Estate

There’s a good mix of older homes and new construction homes in the city. A number of Florida’s distinctive Cracker-style homes from the mid-20th century still stand today and have been updated, while modern housing units built during the real estate boom of the 2000s are up for the taking.

The housing stock is comprised of single-family homes, mobile homes, townhomes, and condos. Vacant waterfront lots are also available.

Waterfront homes are situated along Lake Eustis, Lake Nettie, and Lake Woodward Cove. These homes usually come with docks and patios.

The average home has 3 or more bedrooms. Central air conditioning, walk-in closets, and spacious backyards are common features.

Attractions and amenities

There are several pet-friendly parks with playgrounds, ball courts, fishing piers, and picnic areas throughout the city:

  • Bennett Park
  • Carver Park
  • Carver Park Annex
  • Elizabeth Circle
  • Ferran Park
  • Selleen Tot Lot
  • Sunset Island Park
  • Palmetto Point Park
  • Pendleton Park
  • Liberty Circle

Eustis is home to spring-fed lakes with sandy bottoms and, as such, there are plenty of water activities to enjoy here.

  • Lake Eustis. Lake Eustis, along with Lake Harris, has the best water quality in the Harris Chain of Lakes. Its canals teem with bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. Some of the largest bass have been caught in the famed Gator Hole located in the northwestern part of the lake. The Buzzard Beach boat ramp, also in Lake Eustis, is a popular jump-off point for fishing tournaments. Aside from fishing, you can also go sailing, Jet Skiing, and water skiing.
  • Eustis Lake Walk. This scenic lakefront walkway extends from the exquisitely landscaped grounds of Ferran Park to the Community Center at Northshore Drive. It spans a quarter of a mile and has gazebos, benches, and boat slips. Go fishing, boating, or admire the water as you go for a leisurely stroll.
  • Eustis Aquatic Center. Adjacent to Ferran Park, the center features a splash pad and two heated pools. Swim laps, enjoy the water slide, or relax by the pool deck. The center may be reserved for birthday parties and other private events.

The city’s Downtown Waterfront Entertainment District is filled with retailers, restaurants, and cultural venues like the Lake Eustis Museum of Art (LEMA), Historical Museum, and Bay Street Players.
